Too many seniors in Anderson, Cherokee, and Rusk Counties are left behind, alone and hungry, struggling to stay independent and healthy. Tri-County Meals on Wheels delivers the support that keeps our senior neighbors in their own homes, where they want to be.

Tri-County Meals on Wheels plans trips for active seniors at least once a year for socialization and life-long learning. Travel expenses vary depending on trip. Share in our experiences through pictures of previous trips:

The congregate meal program, sponsored by the East Texas Area Agency on Aging, ensures a daily free and nutritious meal for seniors ages 60 and older. Lunch is served Monday through Friday at the Tri-County Meals on Wheels office at 200 N. Church St., Palestine, TX, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served in our Dining Room and concludes by 12:15 p.m. A 24-hour reservation is appreciated as is a 24-hour cancellation notice.

Tri-County Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious, freshly prepared meals five days a week to Anderson, Cherokee, and Rusk County residents who cannot provide for themselves due to illness, advanced age, or disability. These meals contribute to the overall health and well-being of our senior clients, including those with chronic illnesses and frail seniors who are homebound.
