National Historic Marker Weekend

Date: Apr 25, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Visit Palestine is planning a community service project to restore Anderson County historic markers during the 5th annual National Historic Marker Weekend on Friday, April 25 - Sunday, April 27.

National Historic Marker Weekend brings people together to maintain local markers by cleaning them while providing an opportunity to celebrate and preserve history. Individuals, as well as groups of 2-3, are welcome to volunteer, including families and friends, civic organizations, schools and young groups, to name a few. Each volunteer/ group will get to choose a marker important to them to “adopt” from our list.
